MdGenr does one thing — as a Markdown editor with live preview it renders Markdown to typeset HTML as you type, with a table of contents, syntax highlighting, mermaid diagrams and export to HTML, PDF or Markdown. It parses the Markdown to an abstract syntax tree and renders it in the preview pane on each keystroke, so the preview and the exported file come from the same parse rather than two separate renderers. What follows concerns only that tool and the inputs involved in it.

Everything the tool works with — the Markdown you write — is handled locally. It is usually reached for things like exporting notes to PDF, and because nothing is transmitted a visitor can close the tab knowing no copy was made anywhere.

What this site is — and is not

Nothing on mdgenr.com is professional advice. What MdGenr produces is an estimate of a calculation rather than a measured fact, published for general information and education.

Output you are expected to check

A developer tool generates a draft. Whatever MdGenr emits — a type, a formatted document, a converted value — should be reviewed and tested against your own requirements before it is used anywhere that matters.

Provided without warranty

The assumption that matters most for MdGenr is that your input matches the model. It parses the Markdown to an abstract syntax tree and renders it in the preview pane on each keystroke, so the preview and the exported file come from the same parse rather than two separate renderers. When it does not — or when rounding, unit handling or browser behavior intervenes — no warranty attaches to the Site, careful as we are with the method.
